R&R, while crucial for soldier morale, presents potential dangers. The transition from a high-stress, combat environment to a relaxed, often unfamiliar setting can lead to:

• Increased Risk-Taking: Soldiers may engage in risky behaviors, seeking to de-stress or experience a sense of normalcy, leading to accidents or injuries.   Make sure they were a helmet when cycling!
• Relationship Strain: Sudden shifts in intimacy and the emotional fallout of deployment can put pressure on relationships. Make sure they can take a drink!
